The end of summer is drawing in, and with it comes the horrors of the new school terms. Don\u2019t be downhearted though- Sonic the Comic is here to bring you summer\u2019s last hurrah! It\u2019s been hard work keeping the humes at their desks instead of larking around and enjoying their vacation, but the chains & manacles seem to be working quite nicely.<\/p>\n

You lot have been frantically writing in after the events of last issue- what\u2019s Sonic\u2019s plan? How are the Syndicate going to be stopped? Well the answers are all here but you might not like what you see in The Betrayal Of Mobius<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, we say goodbye to the Nameless Zone as Morain and Errol\u2019s sibling rivalry comes to a head! Find out whose side Tails takes in the finale of Journey To The Crossroads<\/a>. And as one strip ends, another begins- due to popular demand (and because Shorty forced us at blaster-point), Tekno and Shortfuse are back in Unusual Suspect<\/a>! As always, any new or returning Boomers can get themselves caught up in the Data Zone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Syndicate are winning. They have the Chaos Emeralds in their possession, they are secure on-board their mighty Death Carrier, and they are preparing to obliterate Mobius by igniting its residual Chaos Energy. Sonic<\/h4>

Sonic is the super-fast hero of Mobius, and leads a gang of freedom fighters. He is totally committed to keeping Mobius and its people safe- but so far, he's been losing the desperate fight against the Syndicate.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\"Shadow\"<\/div>

Shadow<\/h4>

A dark and sinister hedgehog created from Chaos Energy millennia ago and given shape from Sonic's DNA. Shadow has complete control over Chaos Energy and a psychotic devotion to Robotnik's will, making him a formidable foe\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Syndicate<\/h4>

This sinister group of villains is responsible for reawakening Shadow, using him to gather the Chaos Emeralds. Under the command of the malignant echidna Dr Zachary, they plan to destroy the world\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Dr. Robotnik<\/h4>\n

A laboratory accident long ago turned the kindly Professor Kintobor into the evil Doctor Robotnik! Once a dictator, he is now mute and driven mad by defeat. As Kintobor, he was a friend and mentor to Shadow; as Robotnik, he has been re-united with him\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Drakon Empire<\/h4>\n

8000 years ago, the Drakon Empire \u2013 a race of fish who used their advanced intelligence to built robotic bodies to function on land \u2013 created Chaos Energy and battled the Echidna\u2019s for the Emeralds that could safely contain it.<\/p>\n

Divided into the Houses of War, Knowledge and Magic, they have faced Sonic before and once put him on trial-by-combat for crimes against the Empire; they believe this to be the only true way to determine innocence. When Sonic last fought them, the House of War was under the command of the evil Emperor Ko-Dorr, who planned usurp control of the entire Empire\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Tails<\/h4>\n

Although Tails is only Sonic's sidekick, he has saved both Mobius and his blue friend enough times to call himself a hero in his own right. But due to a lie, the people of the Nameless Zone believe Tails to be the hero and Sonic to be the sidekick and this has caused the two tailed fox no end of trouble.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Morain Blackthorn<\/h4>\n

Morain is the young leader of the fox resistance. With her fierce attitude and razor sharp sword, she will do whatever it takes to drive the Goblins out of the Nameless Zone- including bombing the Goblin's new steam train\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Pippa<\/div>\n
\n

Pippa and Trent<\/h4>\n

Morain's closest allies in the fight against the Goblins. Trent's calm nature and idolisation of Tails contrast with Pippa's frantic and nervous disposition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Errol<\/div>\n
\n

Errol Blackthorn<\/h4>\n

Errol is Morain's brother and formerly one of the Nameless Zone's greatest warriors, assisting Tails on several occasions. He now works as Chief of Police under the Goblins to try and bring peace between them and the foxes- and is forced to arrest his sister for crimes against the Goblin Kingdom\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Shorty the Squirrel<\/h4>\n

Shorty is a hot-headed squirrel who was trapped in the armour of a Super-Badnik by Robotnik. With his stubborn personality, he was able to rebel and became one of Mobius' premier heroes. He has been freed from his old armour and Tekno has built him a new one that he can put on & take off at will.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Tekno the Canary<\/h4>\n

Tekno is a scientific genius who has a workshop in the Emerald Hill Zone. Her gadgets have saved Sonic's life on many occasions, and she often teams-up with Amy or Shorty.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
